रायपुर। छत्तीसगढ़ राज्य सरकार ने पिछले माह सतनामी समाज के धार्मिक स्थल को क्षति पहुंचाने के मामले में समय पर कार्रवाई नहीं करने के मामले में बलौदाबाजार जिले के तत्कालीन कलेक्टर और 2009 बैच के भारतीय प्रशासनिक सेवा (आईएएस) कुमार लाल चौहान का निलंबन आदेश जारी कर दिया है। सरकार ने अपने आदेश में कहा है कि बलौदाबाजार-भाटापारा में मई 2024 के दौरान सतनामी समाज के धार्मिक स्थल को क्षति पहुँचाई गई।
इस घटना के संबंध में प्राप्त शिकायतों के अनुसार जिला प्रशासन द्वारा समय पर उचित कार्रवाई नहीं किये जाने के कारण तत्कालीन जिला कलेक्टर कुमार लाल चौहान के विरूद्ध अनुशासनात्मक कार्रवाई विचाराधीन है। इसलिए राज्य शासन ने कुमार लाल चौहान को अखिल भारतीय सेवाएं (अनुशासन एवं अपील) नियम, 1969 के नियम-3 (1) के अधीन प्रदत्त अधिकारों का उपयोग करते हुए निलंबित किया है। निलंबन अवधि में कुमार लाल चौहान का मुख्यालय छत्तीसगढ़ मंत्रालय, महानदी भवन, नवा रायपुर, अटल नगर रहेगा। गौरतलब है कि सतनामी समाज के लोगों ने अपने धार्मिक स्थल को क्षतिग्रस्त किए जाने के विरोध में मई में हिंसक प्रदर्शन किया था और जिलाधिकारी के कार्यालय समेत कई सरकारी भवनों में आग लगा दी थी।
