छत्तीसगढ़ के मुख्यमंत्री भूपेश बघेल ने कहा कि तुलसीदास रचित महाकाव्य ‘ श्रीरामचरितमानस’ के कुछ हिस्से के कथित रूप से महिलाओं और पिछड़े समुदाय के विरूद्ध होने को लेकर विवाद उत्तर प्रदेश के नेताओं द्वारा वोटबैंक की राजनीति के तहत खड़ा किया जा रहा है। उत्तर प्रदेश में ‘श्रीरामचरितमानस’ को लेकर विवाद समाजवादी पार्टी (सपा) के नेता स्वामी प्रसाद मौर्य के एक बयान से उत्पन्न हुआ है। उन्होंने गत 22 जनवरी को दावा किया था कि उसके कुछ हिस्से जाति के आधार पर समाज के एक बड़े वर्ग का अपमान करते हैं। उन्होंने मांग की थी कि उन पर ‘प्रतिबंध’ लगाया जाए। बघेल ने संवाददाताओं से कहा, यह (विवाद) दोनों (उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री) योगी आदित्यनाथ एवं मौर्य के वोट हासिल करने में माफिक है। हालांकि लोग उसकी (ऐसे टकरावों की) मार झेलते हैं क्योंकि जरूरी मुद्दों की अनदेखी कर दी जाती है।
उन्होंने कहा कि ”दो-चार दोहों’ से ऐसे महाकाव्य पर कोई फर्क नहीं पड़ता है। उन्होंने कहा कि किसी को भी समाज सुधारक विनोबा भावे की यह सलाह माननी चाहिए कि किसी भी धर्मग्रंथ या दर्शन के गुणों पर वर्तमान संदर्भ में चर्चा की जानी चाहिए। बघेल ने कहा कि भावे ने सलाह दी थी कि (किसी भी पुस्तक या दर्शन) के मूलभूत तत्वों पर चर्चा की जानी चाहिए और विचार-विमर्श के बाद उसके सूक्ष्म तथ्यों को स्वीकार किया जाना चाहिए। कांग्रेस के वरिष्ठ नेता बघेल ने कहा, ”यह विवाद ही गलत है। श्रीरामचरित मानस तुलसीदास द्वारा 650 साल पहले लिखा गया था जबकि वाल्मीकि ने तो उससे भी काफी पहले लिखा था। आपको रामायण से अच्छी बातें स्वीकार करनी चाहिए और जो बातें आपको पसंद नहीं हैं, उन्हें छोड़ दीजिए। किसी का नाम लिये बगैर बघेल ने कहा, ऐसे छोटे मुद्दों को लेकर विवाद खड़ा करके आप बस वोटों की राजनीति कर रहे हैं।
