छत्तीसगढ़ में रायगढ़ में हथिनी का एक और शव मिला, चार माह में छठी मौत

छत्तीसगढ़ के रायगढ़ जिले के जंगल में करीब 70-वर्षीय हथिनी का शव मिला है। अधिकारियों को संदेह है कि उनकी मौत उम्र संबंधी जटिलताओं के कारण हुई। एक अधिकारी ने रविवार को यह जानकारी दी। अधिकारी के मुताबिक, हथिनी का शव शनिवार को धरमजयगढ़ वन प्रमंडल के अंतर्गत गेरसा गांव से सटे जंगल में मिला। उन्होंने बताया कि शव मिलने की सूचना पाकर वनकर्मी मौके पर पहुंचे और पशु चिकित्सकों की एक टीम ने उनका पोस्टमार्टम किया।

अधिकारी ने बताया, प्रथम दृष्टया ऐसा लगता है कि उम्र संबंधित जटिलताओं के कारण हथिनी की मौत हुई है। हालांकि, मौत के सही कारण का पता पोस्टमार्टम रिपोर्ट आने के बाद ही चलेगा। अधिकारी के मुताबिक, इस घटना के साथ ही पिछले चार महीनों में जिले में छह हाथियों की मौत हुई है। अधिकारियों ने बताया कि छत्तीसगढ़ में पिछले पांच वर्षों में 70 से अधिक हाथियों की मौत बीमारी, उम्र संबंधी जटिलताओं और बिजली के झटके सहित अन्य कारणों से हुई है।
