छत्तीसगढ़ के रायपुर जिले में ट्रैफिक पुलिस के जवान ने शासकीय आवासीय भवन से कूदकर आत्महत्या कर ली। रायपुर जिले के पुलिस अधिकारियों ने यहां बताया कि शहर के न्यू राजेंद्र नगर थाना क्षेत्र के अंतर्गत अमलीडीह इलाके में बृहस्पतिवार सुबह करीब छह बजे ट्रैफिक पुलिस के जवान राजकुमार ध्रुव (30) ने शासकीय आवासीय भवन से कूदकर आत्महत्या कर ली। उन्होंने बताया कि पुलिस को जानकारी मिली है कि जवान राजकुमार पिछले एक वर्ष से फेफड़ों से संबंधित बीमारी से पीड़ित था और वह शराब पीने का आदी था।

अधिकारियों ने बताया कि बीती रात राजकुमार ने सांस लेने में समस्या की शिकायत की और सुबह वह छह मंजिला पुलिस आवासीय परिसर के छत पर चढ़ा और वहां से कूद गया। उन्होंने बताया कि जब परिसर में रहने वाले लोगों और परिवार को इसकी जानकारी मिली तब उन्होंने इसकी सूचना पुलिस को दी। सूचना मिलते ही पुलिस को घटनास्थल के लिए रवाना किया गया और शव को पोस्टमार्टम के​ लिए भेजा गया। पुलिस अधिकारियों ने बताया कि मामला दर्ज कर लिया है और मामले की जांच की जा रही है।
